About Income Family MicroInsurance Scheme

NTUC Income is committed to its social purpose and helping youth and disadvantaged children has been a central theme to Income’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

With this in mind, NTUC Income worked closely with the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) to launch a free insurance scheme – Income Family MicroInsurance Scheme (IFMIS).

This scheme is developed to help low-income households, the beneficiaries being children and youth from these disadvantaged homes. In the event the main applicant of KiFAS/CFAC/SCFA ComCare schemes passes away or becomes totally and permanently disabled, this scheme will pay out $5,000 to help his/her family cope financially during this difficult period.

IFMIS is automatically* given to families who are beneficiaries of the following ComCare schemes:

• Kindergarten Financial Assistance Scheme (KiFAS)
• Centre-based Financial Assistance Scheme for Child Care (CFAC)
• Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA)

*No application is needed
